Terms and Conditions

The ground rules for using ip.tuti.lt — what the tool is, what it isn’t, and what we expect from each other.

Effective date: 1 November 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Tuti.lt (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the website ip.tuti.lt and its subpages (together, the “Website”). By opening, browsing, or using the Website you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. What the service is

The Website is a free, informational network utility. It detects the public IP address of the connection you browse from and displays lookup data for any public IP address you enter, sourced in real time from independent third-party providers. The service is provided for personal and professional reference use, “as is”, without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Website lawfully and reasonably. Accordingly, you must not:

  1. automate, scrape, or otherwise generate bulk requests through the Website, including scripted lookups, load testing, or wrapping the tool behind your own application — the underlying third-party APIs have fair-use limits that such traffic would exhaust;
  2. attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Website, its hosting, or related systems;
  3. present the Website or its results as your own service or rebrand and redistribute them;
  4. use lookup data for unlawful purposes, including tracking, stalking, harassing, or profiling individuals — IP addresses provide, at best, an approximate network location and must never be treated as a person’s identity or home address;
  5. use the Website in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, or the terms of the third-party data providers listed in the footer.

4. No reliance on results

All results are informational approximations. Geolocation is typically accurate only to the city or region level and can be significantly wrong; hostname, ISP, and network-type rows depend on public databases that lag behind reality; and the VPN/proxy indicator is a risk signal, not evidence. You must not rely on the Website as the sole basis for any decision of consequence — including access control, fraud prevention, legal, employment, or security decisions — and you should independently verify anything that matters. The FAQ and how-to guide describe these limits in more detail.

5. Intellectual property

The Website’s design, text, code, branding, and the names IP.TUTI.LT and Tuti.lt are protected by intellectual property rights owned by Tuti.lt. You may quote or link to the Website freely, but you may not copy substantial parts of it or use its branding without permission. Lookup data shown by the tool originates from third parties and remains subject to their respective licences — map data from OpenStreetMap contributors, in particular, is licensed under the Open Database Licence, and any reuse of that data must carry the required attribution.

6. Third-party services and links

The Website depends on external services for IP detection, geolocation, risk data, DNS, mapping, and analytics, and it links to external sites such as the Wikipedia article on IP addresses. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website and all content, data, and results are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tuti.lt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Website or its results. Aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct and your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tuti.lt and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Website, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Availability, changes, and termination

The Website is offered free of charge and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. We may also block or restrict access for users or behaviours that breach these Terms, and we may update these Terms from time to time — the effective date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use the Website after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Website or these Terms shall be brought before the courts of the Republic of Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Consumers may also use out-of-court dispute resolution options available in the EU.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms, permission requests, or reports of misuse: email info@tuti.lt or visit the contact page. We aim to respond within a few business days.
